Nevada recorded a dip in sports betting from March to April, but it also showed continued strength in gambling revenue within the period.

The Nevada gaming industry’s sports betting underperformed for the month of April, marking a 32.5% decline from March after reporting $582.5 million, according to Front Office Sports.

While sports betting in the state failed to secure continues growth, Nevada still managed to impress with its over $1 billion in gambling revenue for the same month, beating the pre-pandemic figures by 20.5%.

It is important to note that Nevada was not the only one to report a dip from March despite the bulk of the NCAA basketball tournaments happening that month.

New York’s mobile spots betting also witnessed a fall after recording a 14.7% month-over-month to $1.4 billion. New Jersey’s figures also slipped 23.9%, reporting $926.9 million in April.
