Four sports betting and gambling-related initiatives are expected to be part of the November ballot. One of them is proposed by giant brands FanDuel, BetMGM, and DraftKings, South Florida Caribbean News reported.

The initiative proposed by the US gambling giants will make it difficult for smaller-size rivals to thrive because it will impose some special requirements that are hard to meet.

There are also other challenges that sports betting and gambling sites would have to face later this year as iGamingNJ learned that industry-related issues could cost more than $3.5 billion each year.

On the other hand, an array of advantages is bound to come to the Golden State should it legalize their operations. iGaming operations would bring in more job opportunities to the area, just like what happened to other places that legalized gambling.

California also has a lot to gain from this. It is projected that gambling companies would have to pay $100 million for license fees in order for them to exercise their business in the state.

It’s clear that come November, the California government would strive to legalize online gambling and sports betting in the state. After all, the $100 million license fee would be the highest among the states that have legalized gambling. New York currently has the highest fee at $25 million.
